System Application Engineer - Notebook

System Application Engineer at NVIDIA responsible for end-to-end system collateral and customer support for SoC platforms, working with OEMs and the NVIDIA Architecture team. Requires expertise in SoC architecture and driving technical engagement with partners.

What you'd actually do

  1. Work directly with OEM and the NVIDIA Architecture team to define and maintain SoC product collateral, including Datasheet, PinMux, Hardware Design Guide, Product Specification, and Partner Guidelines.
  2. Lead and document PoR (Plan‑of‑Record) discussions for SoC platforms, aligning internal and external stakeholders on features, constraints, and schedules.
  3. Define and review GPU/CPU/DLA/memory electrical and thermal requirements at the system level (power delivery, interfaces, cooling, operating conditions, derating, etc.).
  4. Define and review SoC high speed I/O ( eDP, DP, HDMI,PCIe, USB-C) specification, design rules and validation plan.
  5. Serve as the technical point of contact for customer support on POR, board design, bring-up, and validation issues.

Skills

Required

  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years’ experience in system‑level hardware design (SoC, GPU/CPU, power, high‑speed interfaces)
  • Experience with datasheets, PinMux definitions, hardware design guides, and customer design reviews
  • Solid understanding of electrical and thermal requirements for high‑power SoC/GPU/CPU systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven experience working with external partners (OEM/ODM or silicon partners)

Nice to have

  • 3+ experiences on Notebook design, USB-C and battery charging
  • Experience with ARM, PMIC, regulators, battery life optimization
  • Hardware design and knowledge of PCIe, I2C, DP/eDP/HDMI, USB-C,WiFi, Audio
