System Safety Engineer II

What you'd actually do

  1. Executing with a theoretical to advanced knowledge of MIL-STD-882E requirements
  2. Performing MIL-STD-882 System Safety Program tasks and analyses, involving management (task series 100), analysis (task series 200), evaluation (task series 300), and verification (task series 400)
  3. Analysis of engineering hardware, mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics assessing for fault tolerance, latent hazards, and safety requirements compliance
  4. Working across all integrated product teams and lines to properly eliminate hazards or provide effective controls
  5. Collaborating with leadership and program stakeholders from program startup through production to demilitarization and disposal backgrounds.
