System/test Validation Engineer

Lead system test engineering for AMD's next-generation accelerator products, from early development through high-volume manufacturing. This role involves defining system-level test strategy, driving execution, ensuring robust coverage, and managing a team of system test engineers. The focus is on functionality, compatibility, and reliability of accelerator products, with cross-functional collaboration with design, product engineering, operations, and business partners.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and manage a team of system test engineers supporting Instinct accelerator product development
  2. Define and execute system‑level test strategies spanning pre‑silicon planning, post‑silicon bring‑up, customer samples, and high‑volume manufacturing
  3. Drive alignment on test coverage, validation readiness, and quality metrics across lab, manufacturing, and customer environments
  4. Partner cross‑functionally with Design, Product Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, and Customer Engineering teams
  5. Oversee planning and execution for system test deliverables, schedules, and resource allocation

  • Experience working in complex, cross‑functional, and geographically distributed engineering environments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including presenting status and recommendations to senior or director‑level leadership
  • Proficiency with standard Microsoft tools (e.g., Office, Windows OS) for planning, tracking, and reporting
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
