Systems Administrator role supporting the C2BMC program, which is part of the Missile Defense System. Responsibilities include user support, troubleshooting, and integrating R&D systems into C2BMC. Requires a Secret security clearance and IAT Level II certification.

What you'd actually do

  1. Serve as the first line of defense for user-level interactions and issues
  2. Will primarily support users in person, by phone, email, or instant message (IM)
  3. Will be customer-facing, so refined customer service skills, in addition to IT skills, are a must
  4. Must be comfortable diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with remote users daily
  5. This position will also support MDA flight tests, focus on integrating the R&D systems into C2BMC, and contribute to other ongoing X-Lab projects as needed

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 5 years of experience; or a Master’s degree (preferred) in a related field with 3 years of relevant work experience; or 9 years of relevant work experience
  • current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher
  • current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance
  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time
  • Experience supporting users in an enterprise-level system
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting Windows and Linux applications
  • Experience with Java
  • Comfortable interfacing professionally with users and customers in an IT service setting
  • Ability to create and revise technical documentation for processes and procedures using platforms like Atlassian Confluence
