What you'll do...
The (USA) Systems Administrator, Technology Operations, plays a critical role in managing and supporting IT infrastructure across multiple locations, ensuring 24/7 L2 Support for Walmart & Sams around the global for batch schedulers that run on the mainframe and open systems. Being able to muti-task and support our customers through different channels of communication whether it being a phone call, Zoom, Slack or Team. Work holidays and weekends to provide support and being able to resolve issues. About Team: Building the right technology foundation for Infrastructure & platforms is vital to success at the scale of Walmart. Our team builds and maintains the foundational technologies that support the tech organization. Included in this are data platforms, enterprise architecture, DevOps, cloud computing, and infrastructure. All of these products and services are supported by scalable and powerful infrastructure, ensuring a secure and seamless employee and customer experience across stores, digital channels, and distribution centers. What you’ll do:
- Able to monitor batch flows and escalate if SLA will be missed.
- Able to restart 70% of the batch job, while taking phone calls.
- Able to monitor mainframe and open systems where we run our batch jobs, ensuring systems are stable.
What you'll bring:
- Mainframe experience is helpful but not required.
- Able to multi-task by using many different communications channels.
- Knowledge of JCL (job control language).
- How to type and take phone calls.
- Soft skills - positive attitude and willingness to learn

The annual salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $110,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Call Center, Information Technology, Programming Language - HyperText Markup Language (HTML), Research Analytics, Using intermediate to advanced functionality of Microsoft Excel (for example, pivot tables and basic macros), Using SAP and Ariba to access and review contracts, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
