What you'd actually do

  4. Manage onboarding, configuration, and upgrades of third-party software.
  5. Maintain vendor relationships and coordinate vendor support and licensing.

Skills

Required

  • Extensive experience with infrastructure maintenance and performance monitoring.
  • Strong coding skills adhering to industry standards, with knowledge of languages such as JCL, REXX, Python, SQL, etc.
  • Expertise in configuration, version, and release management processes.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve technical issues independently for moderately complex projects.
  • Knowledge of middleware integration and API-level connectivity across platforms.
  • Understanding of infrastructure design principles, including scalability, disaster recovery, and security frameworks.
  • Proven vendor management or ISV tool lifecycle experience (onboarding, upgrades, licensing, decommissioning).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and incident response skills; able to drive cross‑team coordination.
  • Familiarity with mainframe security, access control, and change management standards.
  • Experience with z/OS mainframe environments and ISV products.
  • Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with vendors and internal teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, or related area and 2 years’experience in technology infrastructure engineering across areas such as compute, storage, network, mobility or virtualization-related technologies OR 3 years’ experience in technology infrastructure
