What you'd actually do

  1. Adhering to DOORS processes and procedures, reviewing the content and details of technical products, and acting as a technical interface to government working-level counterparts on an as-required basis.
  2. Will be actively involved in the efforts associated with Agile development, including iteration planning, team members on architectural patterns being used, and agile team leadership.
  3. Will work on large multi-site software development efforts, including external interface development.
  4. Will conduct or lead Analysis of Alternatives, Trade Studies, and Design Evaluations including both physical and logical architectures across the System
  5. Will assist in documenting or reviewing architecture using an MBSE tool such as CAMEO

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM or equivalent experience
  • 8 years of experience (or 6 with Master's, 4 with PhD)
  • Proven track record of applying system engineering principles
  • Experience developing system engineering artifacts (specifications, ICDs, Use Cases, Architecture Descriptions, Trade Studies)
  • Experience identifying and defining desired capabilities and communicating them
  • Experience developing large, complex software systems
  • Experience developing solutions in an integrated team environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and present technical approaches
  • Ability to write and implement engineering plans
  • Experience as a technical leader for a DoD Systems Engineering or Development effort
  • Experience creating briefings, architecture designs and artifacts, and presenting at DoD Customer Design Reviews
  • Ability to establish design and technology maturity constraints
