AMD is seeking a Systems Design Engineer in Shanghai, China, to work on enabling and debugging the latest APU/CPU features. This role involves collaborating with firmware, silicon, board design, and software teams to root cause silicon/system issues and optimize the debug process. The engineer will study new features, perform post-silicon enablement, and work with pre-silicon teams.

What you'd actually do

  1. Study latest AMD silicon and system features; understand new features in silicon, BIOS, firmware, SW etc., bring up new product.
  2. Post Silicon feature enablement and debug, especially power management and system features.
  3. Hands on debug issues reported by internal teams or customers, deep dive into code level to root cause the bugs.
  4. Lead and collaborate with silicon design, FW, SW, and other function teams to make sure issues are analyzed in time.
  5. Optimize the debug process with other team to improve the efficiency
