AMD is seeking a Systems Design Engineer for RAS Enablement in Bangalore, India. This role focuses on enabling Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability (RAS) features in post-silicon x86 environments, working with engineering teams to develop and execute test plans and reports. The candidate will own RAS subsystem implementation, conduct experiments, maintain test plans, develop test scripts, and debug complex problems. Experience in silicon validation, x86 architecture, and scripting is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Owning RAS sub system implementation based on the Product requirements
  2. Conducting day-to-day experiments for RAS
  3. Maintaining Test plans and reports and scrubbing the JIRA tickets on a periodic basis
  4. Developing required test scripts for small tasks
  5. Problem solving - the successful candidate loves debugging complex problems and has a track record of doing so

Skills

Required

  • Experience in silicon validation
  • Experience with x86 HW, FW and BIOS Architecture
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities

Nice to have

  • 8+ years of silicon validation for multiple any SoCs especially x86 containing multi core CPU/GPU subsystems with focus on RAS implementation across different IPs
  • Expertise of RAS features pertaining to Memory, PCIE, Reset flows, Out of Band features
  • Practical experience of working on Processor based system designs is a plus
  • Knowledge of shell programming/scripting (e.g. Tcl Perl, Python etc.)
