Boeing Defense, Space & Security is seeking a Systems Engineer to support digital transformation initiatives within their Mobility, Surveillance, and Bombers division. The role focuses on maturing the next-generation Digital Engineering (DE) & Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system for Engineering and Manufacturing, involving tool capabilities, deployment, optimization, training, and data analysis. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, systems engineering experience, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the design, development, and implementation of DE/PLM tool capabilities, managing tool transitions and data migrations to ensure standardized digital data and model management practices across teams. Partner with MS&B capabilities to define and draft processes to be released into the tool baseline.
  2. Oversee the deployment and optimization of DE/PLM tools, providing technical guidance to enable effective system performance analysis, design validation, and support for verification and validation activities. Assist in deployment of tools on production efforts.
  3. Identify skill gaps and develop targeted training programs to enhance team proficiency in DE/PLM technologies, fostering continuous learning and adoption of industry best practices to drive innovation.
  4. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in program tracking, reporting processes, collaborating with Program & Digital Transformation Engineers to troubleshoot issues using 3DExperience and related applications.
  5. Analyze engineering data to identify discrepancies, implement corrective actions, and improve data integrity, facilitating accurate and timely data delivery to suppliers and customers.

Skills

Required

  • Systems Engineering experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • strong written and oral communication skills
  • focus on translating technically complex issues into simple, easy to understand concepts

  • Dassault 3DExperience and integrated applications (such as NX and Teamcenter Visualization)

  • Military or Commercial aircraft design and/or analysis experience within Airframe, Flight Sciences, Interiors, Propulsion, or Systems
