Boeing is hiring Systems Engineers for their F-15 Government Training Systems in Berkeley, MO. The role involves facilitating interoperability with military simulation platforms, reviewing requirements, developing and executing test plans, and troubleshooting problems. What you'd actually do

  1. Serve as the focal/technical lead for program-level DMO activities and cross-team coordination with internal Boeing programs, other contractors and US Government representatives
  2. Developing an understanding of system architecture and capabilities to enable decomposing system level requirements, especially to determine software requirements
  3. Develop and maintain DMO architecture artifacts including system configurations, federate system test plans, test procedures and test reports
  4. Plan and execute system tests to verify system functionality and investigate and diagnose system anomalies
  5. Provide on-site and remote support as technical point of contact including performing real-time troubleshooting during training and test events

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, systems engineering, simulation integration, or avionics integration
  • Excellent technical writing and oral communication; experience producing documents such as ICDs, test plans, and after action review artifacts.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time, primarily domestic but possibly international

Nice to have

  • 9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of higher education and experience (Senior Level 4)
  • Prior Boeing or defense industry simulation/DMO experience
  • Experience with DMO/LVC technologies and interoperability standards including HLA (RTI), DIS, or TENA
  • Experience with CIGI, image generator integration, and common database/terrain standards (CDB, GIS)
  • Networking experience including software tools for packet capture/analysis
  • Strong software background including developing, updating and executing automated testing, especially using Microsoft Visual Studio C++
  • Familiarity with formal systems development lifecycle (V model)
  • Experience coordinating distributed, multi-site events and tests and interacting with government stakeholders
