Systems Engineer (experienced, Lead or Senior)

Boeing is seeking Systems Engineers in Oklahoma City, OK to support B-52 Sustainment programs. The role involves applying interdisciplinary approaches to plan, design, develop, and verify system solutions, performing various analyses, and managing requirements and risks. Experience with Excel/Data Analytics is required, and knowledge of AI for logistical problems is preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions.
  2. Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces.
  3. Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.
  4. Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.
  5. Develops the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management, and technology readiness assessment processes.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 3+ years of related systems engineering/project engineering work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience in Excel / Data Analytics
  • Ability to obtain a U. S. Top Secret security clearance post-start.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge and/or experience in MSOSA or Model Based Systems Engineering
  • Experience using DOORS or a similar type of requirements software.
  • Experience writing documents such as CDRLs that will be delivered to customers.
  • Experience developing proposals.
  • Knowledge and/or experience applying AI to solve logistical problems (forecasting spare parts, estimating timelines to repair parts based on past experience, creating / maintaining dashboards.
