Systems Engineer for Ground Based Mid-Course Defense (GMD) Weapon System (GWS) program, focusing on IFICS Data Terminal (IDT) product team. Requires experience with Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESA), RF communications systems, hardware/software design, and systems integration. Must have a Secret clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems.
  2. Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  3. Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

What the JD emphasized

  • B.S. STEM Degree with 8 years of relevant experience; M.S. Degree with 6 years of relevant experience or PhD with 4 years of relevant experience
  • Experience working with Active Electronically Scanned Arrays (AESA).
  • Experience with hardware and software design of complex RF communications systems.
  • Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance at the DoD secret level; and a minimum of an interim secret clearance will be required to start.
