Systems Engineer - Level 6 HWIL Lead for Northrop Grumman's GPI program, focusing on Test & Evaluation. The role involves leading the full lifecycle of Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) activities, including requirements definition, strategy development, lab design, and test execution. Responsibilities include supporting test equipment hardware and software, developing architectures for real-time scene injection, and troubleshooting complex system failures. Requires experience with real-time simulation, C/C++/C# or Java development, and a Secret security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the full lifecycle of HWIL activities, from requirements definition, strategy development, and lab design through test execution.
  2. Supports test equipment hardware and software requirements planning, architecture development, detailed design, and integration/startup of real time computer and full hardware in loop test laboratories
  3. Develops test equipment hardware and software architectures to support real time distorted scene injection into flight hardware, as part of test laboratory development.
  4. Develops GPU software to predict and mimic flight condition scenarios in real time test environment
  5. Technical Problem Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-domain system failures (hardware/software/mechanical) and conduct root cause analyses.
