Raytheon is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to work as part of a team that supports satellite communication (SATCOM) activities, in addition to company-wide systems engineering support. This position is a part of an integral 24/7 Operations environment. Availability for non-scheduled call-ins is required. The job assignment also requires working a rotating day/night shift schedule, assigned based on the adaptable needs of the team. Location:** Guam (Home location VA)**
What You Will Do
- Operations and maintenance of complex software and hardware systems.
- Report and document anomalous performance and interact with other team members to perform corrective actions.
- Crosstrain in other assigned areas and assist with the training of other personnel on the contract team.
- Support test and/or operational activities as necessary.
- Work in elevated heights
- Lift 50 lbs. safely
**Qualifications You Must Have **
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
- Experience in SATCOM, IT Systems and/or RF test equipment
- Experience assigning tasks to meet technical objectives
- Experience in problem solving in time-critical situations.
- An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
**Qualifications We Prefer **
- Troubleshooting methodologies for diagnosing system problems.
- Experience training a wide range of learning techniques and styles.
- Proficient use of Windows and Linux platforms.
- Microsoft Office Suite

The salary range for this role is 75,800 USD - 144,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
