Systems Engineer role at Northrop Grumman supporting Agile development of MS Windows and cloud-based solutions. Responsibilities include functional analysis, requirements maturation, interface definition, trade studies, developing user stories and acceptance criteria, and working with the software development team. Requires an active DoD Secret security clearance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, requirements maturation, interface definition, detailed trade studies, to translate customer requirements into software specifications
  2. Develop and maintain engineering artifacts, drawings, documentation and support generation of reports and CDRLs related updates.
  3. Develop User Stories and Acceptance Criteria for the mission planning products
  4. Work closely with software development team to implement new capabilities and ensure requirements are met
  5. Support iterative development of UI/UX concepts and designs with customer feedback

Skills

Required

  • BS or higher degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or Physics from an ABET accredited university
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance investigated within the last 5 years
  • Systems Engineering activities: operational concept/workflow development, interface analysis, requirements development and management, authoring engineering reports and documentation, participation in major milestones, design reviews
  • Systems Engineer or Product Owner on an Agile software development effort
  • User Story Development, Backlog Refinement, Release Planning
  • system engineering design methods, including requirements analysis and flow-down, specification derivation and interface control documentation
  • electromagnetic theory in the RF spectrum, signals processing
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance
  • Ability to work on-site
