Systems Engineer, Sentry

Anduril Anduril · Defense · Irvine, CA · AFS : Counter Intrusion Engineering : Sentry Architect

Systems Engineer role focused on end-to-end hardware product development for defense technology, integrating AI and computer vision for autonomous awareness systems. Responsibilities include defining system requirements, leading integration of new capabilities, and ensuring scalable, production-ready solutions for military applications.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the integration of emerging capabilities, bringing new products into Anduril’s family of Counter Intrusion and Air Defense systems. This may include scoping and executing on a combination of hardware and software solutions, both internal and external to the company.
  2. Lead requirements decomposition across cross-functional teams, defining success in the face of ambiguity.
  3. Develop, review, and execute comprehensive test plans across all program phases, including development, integration, verification, and acceptance testing.
  4. Responsible for scoping ideal system laydown, scrutinizing system performance, and ensuring the deployed system is meeting customer requirements. Also responsible for making tradeoffs across capability, timelines, risk, cost, and other factors to deliver an outcome.
  5. Own systems end to end with the ability to identify and solve problems between the seams and push through to reach an ultimate outcome.
