Systems Engineering Manager responsible for leading an Integration & Test Engineering team within the Electronic Warfare business unit. The role involves both functional oversight of 10-15 engineers and direct technical program work, focusing on system-level testing processes, innovation in test methods, and lab operations. Responsibilities include guiding teams on cost, schedule, and technical quality, proposal support, staffing, employee development, and collaboration with talent acquisition. The role also supports initiatives like MBSE and Agile implementation.

What you'd actually do

  1. Your role as an I&T Engineering Manager will afford you responsibilities for developing and maintaining the system-level testing process during all phases of product development and manufacturing including system integration and qualification
  2. Your role will also require leading the innovation and implementation of new integration and test methods to help modernize and improve the process
  3. Day to day oversight of Engineering Labs Operations, Asset Management and Scheduling, and Management of System Verification activities
  4. Oversee a team of engineers working multiple initiatives including follow-on contracts, new business growth opportunities, internal research and development, and capital projects.
  5. Guide the team in support and adherence to standard SEIT processes and the oversight of cost, schedule, and technical quality for SEIT execution on supported programs, including functional reviews for major milestone events (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.) and proposals as applicable.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering / technical discipline with a minimum of 8 years’ experience or a Master of Science degree in an engineering / technical discipline with a minimum of 6 years’ experience.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • High proficiency in technical problem solving, to include decomposition, root cause analysis, solution development, implementation and monitoring.
  • Must have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance prior to start date.

Nice to have

  • Master's degree in a relevant technical or management specialty.
  • Active Secret / Top Secret Clearance.
  • Ability to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) clearances.
  • Background and understanding in various tools and techniques associated with cost / schedule management (especially Earned Value Management).
  • Management experience leading teams including Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test.

  • Experience with electronic warfare or related defense systems.
