This Systems Integration Engineer role focuses on the full development lifecycle of mechanical systems, from concept to flight test, ensuring high-performance and resilient systems for complex environments. Responsibilities include collaborating on integration, CAD modeling, simulations, prototyping, and leading design reviews.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of avionics and mission systems within aircraft.
  2. Create and modify 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for secondary structures and system components. Large assembly model management.
  3. Conduct simulations and analyses to validate designs against performance requirements and regulatory standards (hand calculations and FEA).
  4. Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition successful projects into production
  5. Lead design reviews, run analysis, visit vendors, define and execute hardware test plans

Skills

Required

  • B.S. in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience in aircraft systems integration
  • Siemens NX proficiency
  • Excellent communication and team skills
  • Familiarity with aircraft and military standards
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret Clearance

Nice to have

  • PLM experience (Teamcenter, Windchill)
  • Active Top secret DoD clearance
  • Unmanned Air Vehicle design experience
