Meta is seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to lead the integration of new hardware platforms and infrastructure technologies into their data centers. This role involves system design for serviceability, validating hardware tooling and automation for large-scale deployment, and troubleshooting systematic issues. The candidate will develop test plans for operational integration of AI/ML, compute, storage, and networking products, and possess knowledge of AI/ML system architecture to triage failures. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders on infrastructure tooling support for Meta-designed hardware.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead new product introduction and associated processes for the successful launch of new hardware platforms into our data centers globally
  2. Lead architecture reviews with hardware engineering teams to analyze and develop diagnostic coverage plans for both hardware and software
  3. Lead hardware reviews and drive system Design for Serviceability requirements to ensure form, fit and function for new hardware development in our existing data center environment/architecture
  4. Lead the development and execution of Data Center readiness tooling validation testing based on tooling development plans
  5. Early engagement with design development teams (both internal and external) to drive improvements and influence hardware and tooling architecture

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in system administration or engineering, hardware validation testing and/or acceptance testing of AI/ML, compute, storage or networking equipment
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to resolve technical issues and align on project milestones
  • Experience developing test plan derived from specifications and executing to those plans using industry standard testing tools for successful completion
  • Experience with ASIC, compute, storage & network architecture and components, hardware troubleshooting and diagnosis, and/or hardware manufacturing
  • Experience working with geographically distributed remote teams
  • Experience coding in higher-level languages (e.g., Python, PHP, C++, or Java)
  • Experience learning software, frameworks and APIs
  • Experience with operational validation methods and verification activities for the new product integration
  • Experience building cross-functional relationships and influencing policies and procedures to improve hardware platform integration
  • Proficiency with git or similar SCM tools
  • Experience with test-driven software development
  • Experience with hardware development and lifecycle management
  • Experience with developing for, or managing large-scale server installations
  • Knowledge of out-of-band/lights-out server communication methods, such as IPMI and serial console
  • Experience with Linux operating systems and utilities
  • Experience with AI/ML hardware development and deployment at scale

Nice to have

  • BS in Engineering or a relevant field, or commensurate technical experience
  • Master's in Electrical, Industrial or Manufacturing engineering
