Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for Systems Test Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Product Support organization. This position will be in Melbourne, FL.
We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Systems Test Engineer to join our software development team. In this role, you will serve as the subject matter expert for software test solutions, ensuring testing is executed efficiently and to the highest technical standards. You will bridge the gap between systems engineers and the production execution team, guiding the test lifecycle from initial planning through final data evaluation.
Responsibilities Include:
- Synthesize customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledges technical, schedule and cost constraints.
- Develop and direct preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for completing systems.
- Coordinate integrated testing activities.
- Review and evaluate test requirements to insure completeness of test program.
- Perform technical analysis of complete systems and prepare comprehensive system level evaluations.
**Basic Qualifications: **
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university with 2 years of experience in engineering; OR Master of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics).
- **Must have an active U.S. government Secret Clearance or higher **
(with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
- Experience in a system test environment.
- Experience creating software test procedures and plans.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with product integration, regression, and verification testing.
- Knowledge of system integration and test principles.
- Experience leading Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) prior to execution. Provide real-time support during testing, making critical decisions regarding software effectiveness.
- Experience operating in an Agile environment using any of the Atlassian software tool sets (**JIRA **or CONFLUENCE).
Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $108,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
