Systems Validation Engineer

NVIDIA is seeking a Systems Validation Engineer to validate and characterize power management controllers of datacenter modules. The role involves developing and executing test plans, performing electrical and functional validation, debugging hardware/firmware/interoperability issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Requires strong hardware/software debug experience, lab skills, and understanding of digital design and computer architecture.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and execute validation test plans for server platforms and modules
  2. Perform electrical and functional validation of key interfaces and components, including power sensors, MCUs, I2C, SPI, SMBus, and PCIe.
  3. Diagnose and resolve system issues during NPI builds to ensure timely and successful product launches
  4. Debug and root cause hardware, firmware, and interoperability issues
  5. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to root cause and resolve hardware and software issues.

Skills

Required

  • BSEE/BSCE or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on hardware/software debug experience
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and independently seek out information
  • Debug and root cause challenging system issues
  • Lab experience with board bring-up, hardware debug
  • Use of tools like logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and multimeters
  • Strong understanding of digital design, circuit design analysis and computer architecture

Nice to have
