Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking a Lead or Senior Verification and Validation Systems Engineer in Albuquerque, NM, to support a DOD proprietary program. The role involves the entire product life cycle, from requirements to verification and validation, focusing on developing and executing V&V plans, defining verification strategies, leading integration and test activities, and ensuring system performance meets mission requirements. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and 9+ years of experience in systems integration, V&V, and related management areas.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the development and execution of verification and validation (V&V) plans, procedures and test activities required for subsystem, product and component testing and reporting.
  2. Define subsystem verification strategies based on program requirements using structured verification methodologies.
  3. Lead subsystem level integration and test activities.
  4. Lead test readiness reviews, integration readiness reviews, and technical interchange meetings.
  5. Ensure system performance meets mission and program requirements.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
  • 9+ years of experience with systems integration, verification, validation, ICDs, risk, issues and opportunities management and/or trade studies
  • Experience with a combination of the following: developing hardware verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing test procedures, and/or documenting test results
  • Experience to troubleshooting technical system issues

Nice to have

  • Level 5: 14+ years of experience with systems integration, verification, validation, ICDs, risk, issues and opportunities management and/or trade studies
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Understanding of Systems Engineering product development lifecycle
  • Experience with CAMEO or other model-based system engineering (MBSE/SysML) tools
  • Background in hardware and/or software integration
  • Experience with requirements management and traceability tools (i.e. DOORS)
