Salesforce is seeking a high-performing Account Executive to join their Tableau team, focused on driving data and analytics transformation across Government and Education organisations in Australia and New Zealand. This role involves end-to-end sales strategy, stakeholder engagement, and solution selling within the public sector.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own and execute a strategic territory plan across Government and Education accounts in Australia and New Zealand.
  2. Manage full sales cycles from pipeline generation through to close, including navigating procurement processes across public sector organisations.
  3. Build strong relationships with business and technical stakeholders, aligning Tableau solutions to organisational priorities across government and education sectors.
  4. Position Tableau within broader data, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives, demonstrating value through actionable insights and improved decision-making.
  5. Partner with Solution Engineering, Customer Success, Marketing, and the broader Salesforce ecosystem to deliver impactful customer engagements.

Skills

Required

  • Proven success in consultative, solution-based sales with a track record of exceeding targets
  • Experience selling into Public Sector and/or Education organisations
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts across a broad geographic territory (ANZ)
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills across both business and technical audiences
  • Experience navigating procurement processes within government or large institutions
  • Familiarity with data, analytics, or enterprise software solutions (BI, cloud, SaaS)
  • Highly organised with strong territory planning and pipeline management capabilities
  • Willingness to travel across Australia and New Zealand as required
