Target Security Specialist

This role is for a Target Security Specialist responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and team members. Key responsibilities include responding to security incidents, de-escalation, loss prevention through theft and fraud mitigation, and using surveillance systems. The role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and flexibility in scheduling. It does not involve AI/ML development or research.

What you'd actually do

  1. Promote a physical security culture for our team members and guests by assessing and maintaining safe and secure standards throughout the store, including exterior property.
  2. Respond to and accurately document security incidents in a timely manner.
  3. Appropriately respond to guest issues to provide a safe and secure environment for our team members and guests.
  4. Leverage de-escalation tactics and resources when responding to security incidents across the store.
  5. Conduct merchandise theft recoveries and provide theft apprehension support as needed, strictly adhering to AP policies.
