Target Security Specialist

Target is hiring a Security Specialist to maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and team members. Responsibilities include using intelligence-led tactics, crisis response, de-escalation, operating surveillance systems, documenting incidents, and preventing theft. The role requires a welcoming attitude, effective communication, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Training is provided, but basic skills in communication and technology operation are expected.

What you'd actually do

  1. Greet: 10ft: be friendly – smile, make eye contact, or wave
  2. Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude
  3. Promote a physical security culture for our team members and guests by assessing and maintaining safe and secure standards throughout the store, including exterior property.
  4. Respond to and accurately document security incidents in a timely manner.
  5. Leverage de-escalation tactics and resources when responding to security incidents across the store.

Required

  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
