This role is for a Tax Planning Senior Manager at Reddit, focusing on strategic tax planning, forecasting, M&A due diligence, and process improvements within the global tax team. It requires extensive corporate tax experience, CPA/JD, and strong analytical and communication skills. The role is not directly AI/ML related but involves designing and implementing tax process improvements/automation, and the company uses AI for interview transcription.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the Company’s tax planning strategy and execution
  2. Own the global cash tax and ETR forecasting process and collaborate with Finance partners to model tax impact of business trends.
  3. Drive efforts to maximize tax incentives and mitigate risk
  4. Oversee global tax due diligence for M&A transactions and partner with Corporate Development team to model deal structures and manage post-acquisition integration
  5. Review and negotiate commercial agreements for tax terms and indemnifications

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • JD and/or CPA required
  • 9+ years of corporate tax experience
  • at least 5 years of public accounting experience
  • in-house experience, preferably in the tech sector
  • Demonstrated expertise in accounting for income taxes
  • M&A and deal review processes
  • US international tax regulations
  • Proficiency in Excel, MS Office, and Google Workspace
  • Able to work independently under time pressure
