Team Director, Customer Success and Renewals

Box is seeking a Director, Customer Success & Renewals to lead their post-sales customer experience, retention, and revenue growth. This role will oversee both Customer Success Managers (CSMs) and Renewals teams, focusing on maximizing customer lifetime value and driving company growth. The position involves strategic leadership, team management, customer retention, revenue growth, executive relationship building, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Consulting departments. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience in SaaS/cloud customer success or sales leadership, 5+ years of people management, strong negotiation and analytical skills, and a customer-centric mindset. While the company leverages AI, this role is focused on customer success and renewals, not direct AI/ML development.

What you'd actually do

  1. カスタマーサクセスおよびリニューアル部門のビジョンと戦略を策定し、実行する。
  2. リテンション(更新率)、アドプション(活用率)、およびネットリテンション(NRR)の目標達成に責任を持つ。
  3. 主要顧客のエグゼクティブ層との強固な信頼関係を構築し、戦略的パートナーとしての地位を確立する。
  4. データ駆動型の意思決定を行い、収益予測(フォーキャスト)の精度を向上させる。
  5. 営業(Sales)、マーケティング、製品開発(Product)、コンサルティング部門と密に連携し、顧客の声を製品やサービスに反映させる。

Skills

Required

  • SaaS or cloud industry experience in customer success, account management, or sales leadership (10+ years recommended).
  • People management experience (5+ years), especially managing managers is a plus.
  • Complex negotiation skills and strong business insight.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategies based on data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills (business-level Japanese and English proficiency is a plus).
