This role is for a Team Lead in Account to Report at Johnson & Johnson in Bangalore, India. What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible for leading accounting and daily operations for GSF Accounting process areas
  2. Timely closing & execution of financial periods as per closing calendar and in accordance with SLA commitments, fully observing compliance, internal audit & SOX requirements.
  3. Accountable for completeness, accuracy and validity of the actuals reported within process scope.
  4. Regular focus on Balance Sheet reconciliations to minimize open items
  5. Ensure strong internal controls are in place, to achieve “adequate” internal and external audit ratings.

Skills

Required

  • At least 5-7 years of professional experience is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy, MBA/ CA or similar qualification preferred
  • At least 2 years of people management experience preferred
  • Learning agility and adaptability to different business requirements.
  • Flexibility to be assigned in different shifts to support J&J's global services
  • Strong team working and relationship building skills
  • Ability to communicate well to team members at any level
  • Good analytical proficiencies
  • Ability to prioritize own deliverables and motivated to meet timetables
  • Knowledgeable of general accounting concepts, rules and legal requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)

Nice to have

  • MBA/ CA or similar qualification preferred

  • Experience with SAP or other ERPs an advantage
  • Experience in a multinational corporation desirable
