About Team: The team owns the full lifecycle delivery and technical ownership of the AR eyepiece system, with core responsibilities covering imaging quality, visual comfort, binocular vision, and vision correction functions. It drives cross-functional collaboration to optimize optical performance, ergonomics, and user experience, ensuring the optical module meets mass production requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead the AR optical module team in defining product specifications, designing solutions, and developing prototypes for AR optical modules and core components.
- Integrate cutting-edge technologies, and collaborate closely with core-component, display, mechanical, process, test, and quality teams to resolve key technical challenges.
- Guide the project team through the full lifecycle from proof of concept to NPI, ensuring on-time delivery of optical modules and core components.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree or above in Physics, Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Optics, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of professional working experience, with solid experience in mass production projects, - 3+ years of manager experience in consumer electronics.
- Familiar with end-to-end product development processes. Strong rapid learning, execution, and cross-team communication skills, with the ability to drive technical problem-solving.
- Proficiency in at least one category of the following simulation tools like- Optics: Zemax, Lumerical, RSoft, LightTools, Structure: Creo, SolidWorks, Thermal: Flotherm, Mechanics: Abaqus, Ansys
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD degree in Physics, Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Optics, or related fields.
- Direct experience in AR/VR hardware product development.
- Familiarity with data analysis methods such as deep learning and statistical machine learning.
- Expertise in prescription lens solutions for XR systems.
