Lead a team of Software Engineers building scalable data services and pipelines for an Industrial AI platform that powers digital twins and AI agents. This is a hands-on engineering leadership role focused on data-intensive systems, requiring strong software design, reliability, scalability, and testing standards.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and grow a team of ~5 Software Engineers in India, providing technical direction, coaching, and hands-on contribution (~30–50%).
  2. Own the technical vision and roadmap for DIH’s data platform in India, in close partnership with DIH leadership in Israel.
  3. Design and evolve scalable, data-centric backend services and pipelines that support Digital Twin and AI/agentic use cases.
  4. Set a high engineering bar for the team: clean code, testing, observability, and strong ownership culture.
  5. Own the architecture and long-term evolution of DIH data services and pipelines built in India.

Skills

Required

  • 8+ years software engineering experience building backend or data-intensive systems in production environments.
  • 3+ years in a Tech Lead / Team Lead role, including design ownership and technical mentorship.
  • Strong Python engineering skills with production-grade system design experience.
  • Deep SQL and data modeling expertise, including schema design, aggregations, and event-time systems.
  • Experience building incremental, idempotent pipelines handling duplicates, late data, and backfills.
  • Experience with cloud platforms and modern data stack (e.g., AWS/GCP/Azure, Databricks, Spark, Kafka, BigQuery, etc.).
  • Strong experience operating production systems and debugging data issues (missing data, incorrect aggregates, performance issues).
  • Strong communication skills working with distributed international teams.

Nice to have

  • Industrial / IoT / digital twin experience.
  • Knowledge graph or complex relational modeling experience.
  • Experience with AI/LLM systems (RAG, agents, tool use).
  • Experience building new teams or engineering charters in India or globally.
