Stripe is seeking a Tech-Operations professional to join their financial infrastructure team. This role involves collaborating across departments to calculate customer fees, becoming a domain expert in business economics, and consulting on regulatory reporting. Responsibilities include introducing data and process efficiencies, monitoring metrics, scaling operations, and preparing data for processing. The role also involves financial modeling for complex deal pricing, revenue forecasting, and scenario planning. Data analysis includes reconciliation, triaging misbilling requests, auditing contracts and billing, and automating manual billing processes using SQL and internal tools.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborate across the company, including engineering, product, accounting, finance, sales, operations, to calculate the Stripe fees for the customers, often the largest, most complex, and strategic deals.
  2. Become a domain expert on Stripe's business economics, and consult others (e.g. sales and products) on matters regarding regulatory reporting.
  3. Introduce data and process efficiencies (such as setting up relevant metrics) to meet the scale and speed of Stripe.
  4. Monitor relevant metrics and drive process improvements for scaling regulatory reporting.
  5. Scale User Billing operation by driving the design, documentation, and training of operational processes and domain knowledge
