This role is a Technical Account Manager for Datadog, focusing on enabling customer adoption and success with the Datadog platform, which is described as an observability and security platform for the AI era. The role involves acting as a trusted advisor, leading enablement sessions, analyzing IT operations, and providing recommendations for product usage and improvements. While the company and its platform are AI-centric, the TAM role itself is customer-facing and product-focused, not directly involved in building or researching AI models.

What you'd actually do

  1. Act as a technical advisor to 3 primary enterprise accounts, ensuring successful product adoption and effective usage of the Datadog platform.
  2. Lead enablement and adoption sessions across core product areas tailored to your customer’s architecture and business needs.
  3. Analyze customers’ IT Operations environments and workflows to recommend configuration, product usage, and performance improvements.
  4. Deliver technical business reviews, health checks, and account maturity assessments, contributing to customer QBRs with impactful recommendations.
  5. Escalate product issues appropriately and advocate for your customers’ needs with Datadog’s Product and Engineering teams.

Skills

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in a technical customer-facing role (TAM, Solutions Architect, SRE, DevOps Engineer, or similar) within the cloud or observability space.
  • Confident with at least two public cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure or application monitoring.
  • Familiar with scripting or automation tools (e.g. Python, Bash, Terraform, Chef/Puppet).
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excel at communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Able to work with minimal guidance on customer enablement, issue triage, and product adoption strategies.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience using Datadog or other cloud monitoring tools is a strong plus
