Datadog is seeking a Technical Account Manager (TAM) to serve as an in-house product expert, educating clients and ensuring customer success with Datadog's comprehensive suite of products. The TAM will provide hands-on technical services, analyze customer IT Operations, and act as a trusted advisor to maximize Datadog's value. This role involves collaborating with product management and engineering teams, advising on technical support and product adoption, and participating in business reviews.

What you'd actually do

  1. Advise on technical support and product adoption for customers in line with pre-sales, post-sales and the renewal processes
  2. Analyze customer’s IT Operations environment on a regular basis and provide recommendations that will maximize Datadog’s value.
  3. Be the customer’s advocate by knowing their goals and use cases then suggesting process changes, product adoption, configuration and additional features to meet their requirements
  4. Participate and prepare for Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews with customers
  5. Collaborate with Datadog’s product management, engineering and technical services teams to help identify new features and products

Skills

Required

  • solid technical grounding
  • hands-on experience of IT Operations
  • AWS, Azure or GCP
  • scripting languages like Python, Javascript, Ruby, Perl, Go, PHP, or Chef/Puppet etc.
  • CI/CD tools e.g. Jenkins, Gitlab etc.
  • Containerization tools e.g. Docker, Kubernetes or Rancher etc.
  • Datadog and/or other cloud monitoring tools

Nice to have

  • Previous experience working as a TAM supporting mid-market and/or Enterprise customers in the cloud space
