Salesforce is seeking a Technical Architect for their Spiff Practice. This role involves designing and managing the delivery of complex Salesforce Spiff solutions, integrating various technologies, and collaborating with clients and internal teams. The architect will translate business requirements into technical solutions, provide governance, lead code reviews, and manage technical delivery of custom development, integrations, and data migration. The role also involves pre-sales activities and liaising with product teams. Experience with SaaS platforms, APIs, data management, and iPaaS automation is required, with a preference for experience in Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) tools.

What you'd actually do

  1. Collaborate with client stakeholders to define requirements, deliverables, and set and manage expectations
  2. Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform
  3. Lead technical design sessions; architect and document technical solutions aligned with client business objectives; identify gaps between client's current and desired end states
  4. Provide oversight and governance of Salesforce Spiff projects
  5. Follow and help define integration standards. Lead code reviews during projects to ensure quality and appropriate integration patterns are followed

Required

  • technical design & technical delivery of Software-As-A-Service platforms
  • Hands-on technical consulting and solution implementation experience for a major software domain (e.g. CRM, ERP, HR) as well as coding experience in object oriented languages
  • Deep knowledge in APIs, SQL/SOQL, Data Distribution, Data Modelling, and Data integration concepts
  • iPaaS automation platforms such as Workato, Mulesoft, Informatica or Zapier.
  • Salesforce Products
  • executing data strategies, landscape architecture assessments and technical proof-of-concepts
  • SDLC methodologies including requirements, design, implementation, testing and maintenance
  • Executive level oral and written communication skills including technical documentation. The ability to conceptualise and communicate complex architectural concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to scope, define and manage work packages. Support pre-sale qualification with solutions validation

Nice to have

  • Experience in Salesforce Spiff, Xactly, SAP/CallidusCloud, Varicent or any enterprise - Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) tool
  • Proven ability to gather and analyze ICM and Revenue Recognition requirements, designing flexible, scalable solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to work independently as a self-starter
  • Knowledge of languages like Python or JavaScript for handling complex data transformations
