Technical Data Product Manager, Apple Media Marketing Data

Apple Apple · Big Tech · Culver City · Software and Services

This role is for a Technical Data Product Manager at Apple Media Services, focusing on marketing data collection and dataset strategy across various Apple services. The primary responsibility is to own the marketing data roadmap, ensure data privacy and regulatory compliance, and design scalable data strategies. While the role involves identifying opportunities to apply generative AI to marketing data workflows, its core function is data product management and engineering, not direct AI/ML model development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the marketing data collection roadmap — identifying gaps, prioritizing instrumentation, and driving delivery with Client Engineering, Data Engineering, and Server Engineering teams
  2. Partner with Marketing, Data Science & Analytics, and Business Intelligence teams to understand measurement needs; lead cross-functional instrumentation efforts across Apple Services ensuring consistent coverage of marketing touchpoints including push notifications, in-app journeys, upsell flows, and omnichannel signals
  3. Ensure data collection adheres to Apple's privacy standards and global regulations; proactively incorporate new requirements into data design
  4. Enrich marketing event data into downstream warehousing environments; design a scalable data strategy supporting marketing use cases across Apple Media Services’ ecosystem
  5. Develop and maintain data taxonomy frameworks for marketing instrumentation — standardizing event schemas, attribution models, and reporting structures across lines of business
