This role focuses on guiding merchants through the technical design and certification process for integrating with payment platforms, ensuring seamless and secure acceptance of payments. It involves collaborating with clients, partners, and vendors to launch new products and resolve integration issues within the credit card payment processing industry.

What you'd actually do

  1. Consult with merchants to design technical payment integrations aligned to supported connectivity, protocols, formats, and product functionality.
  2. Lead clients through certification testing, analyze transmitted data to the certification host, publish results, and coordinate fixes to achieve sign‑off.
  3. Serve as the primary technical resource for Core and Integrator client cases, providing clear guidance and hands‑on support.
  4. Direct technical conversions from current processing environments to Chase platforms for new and existing clients.
  5. Facilitate technical conference calls with clients, integrators, resellers, and hardware vendors to resolve issues and advance implementations.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 5+ years of technical experience within the credit card payment processing industry
  • 4+ years of experience with connectivity technologies such as MPLS, virtual private networks, and internet‑based connectivity
  • 4 +years of experience with protocols including TCP/IP, secure file transfer, and HTTPS
  • 4+ years of experience reading and interpreting technical product specifications for transaction and file‑based integrations
  • 5+ years of experience diagnosing complex issues across applications, data messages, and network connectivity
  • Prior experience with certification or testing processes in payments or technology implementations – Specifically, EMV Card Brand certification experience utilizing tools such as Brand Test Tool or ICC

  • Experience in the point‑of‑sale industry
  • Experience with proprietary Chase Tandem operating system or applications
  • Demonstrable experience structuring and delivering large‑scale client implementation projects
