Technical Lead Manager for Handshake AI, focusing on building and shipping production AI solutions. This player-coach role requires hands-on coding, system architecture, and team leadership, working with frontier AI labs on data, evals, and AI systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Write production-quality code and architect systems that are reliable, observable, secure, and maintainable.
  2. Set technical direction for a small team — define the approach, unblock engineers, and raise the bar on quality.
  3. Manage and develop a team of 3–5 engineers: set expectations, have real feedback conversations, and help people grow.
  4. Own end-to-end delivery across multiple concurrent workstreams — triage, prioritize, and flag scope or capacity issues early.
  5. Design and build integrations, tooling, APIs, and internal systems in close collaboration with research, product, and operations teams.
