Technical Lead role focused on enabling scientific discovery and decision-making in drug research by building and scaling technology platforms. This involves integrating laboratory data, computational workflows, and institutional knowledge, with a focus on AI/GenAI capabilities, data platforms, and workflow orchestration. The role partners with Product Managers and guides engineering teams in designing and delivering scalable, high-impact solutions.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define end-to-end technical architectures across scientific workflows, data platforms, AI solutions, and knowledge management ecosystems.
  2. Shape product designs to ensure feasibility, scalability, and maintainability
  3. Work closely with engineering teams to ensure designs are clearly understood and implemented effectively
  4. Bring forward and evaluate relevant emerging technologies (e.g., data platforms, AI/GenAI, workflow orchestration) and recommend build, buy or partner approaches.
  5. Contribute to evolving architecture frameworks and best practices

Skills

Required

  • Experience designing and implementing technical solutions, architectures, and integrations for complex business or scientific workflows
  • Experience in life sciences, pharmaceutical R&D, biotech, scientific software, research informatics, or healthcare technology.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical architectures, integration patterns, and implementation roadmaps.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly evaluate technologies, build prototypes, and validate technical feasibility through proof-of-concepts and pilots.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, or related discipline.
