We have an exciting new opportunity for a Technical Officer within the Joint Battlespace Systems product line on the Woomera Test Range Support Services (WTRSS) Program. The Woomera Test Range, located in South Australia, is the world’s largest overland test environment, comparable to the size of England, and is one of Australia’s most critical national security assets. Raytheon Australia’s integrated range solution provides the Australian Defence Force with one of the most advanced test, experiment, and training environments in the world. Working within the engineering team you will contribute to the success of the WTRSS Program through providing specialty engineering functions on a variety of different leading-edge equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) principles to optimise Defence system supportability
- Development of Engineering and technical reports
- Develop Engineering design changes
- Perform technical risk analysis as required
- Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMECA)
- Plan, document and execute Verification and Validation activities
- Maintain and Update Engineering databases
- Obsolescence monitoring
- Maintaining technical publications
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Certificate III in Engineering with a minimum of 3 years relevant post-qualification experience required
- High level of computer literacy coupled with strong Microsoft Office application skills
- Excellent written and oral communications skills essential
- Use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques
- Demonstrated experience with electronic, electrical or Radar/Optics systems (Desirable)
- Experience in a Defence related industry is highly desirable
- Experience in Logistics Modelling is highly desirable.
