Technical Program Manager

Verkada is seeking a Technical Program Manager for their Hardware team in Taiwan to support NPI programs and manufacturing efforts. The role involves overseeing build milestones, owning manufacturing readiness, guiding material and fixture readiness, solving FATP problems, and working with cross-functional teams and international manufacturing partners to ensure successful product launches. The ideal candidate has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years of experience in electronics product development and manufacturing, and has completed at least two full hardware development cycles through product launch.

What you'd actually do

  1. Oversee key EVT, DVT and PVT build milestones at our JDM R&D and factory facilities. Leverage your engineering expertise to de-risk NPI builds and expedite technical troubleshooting independently.
  2. Own manufacturing readiness, line bring up, and FATP problem solving for a complex set of electromechanical products within one of Verkada’s newest product lines.
  3. Guide material readiness, fixture/jig readiness, and other clear to build efforts in advance of FATP. Coordinate between JDM manufacturing partners and internal firmware team to assess FATP flow, test coverage, fixture/equipment plans and associated test limits.
  4. Work closely with EE, ME and FW teammates (in both the US and Taiwan) to solve a variety of end to end NPI challenges from early design development efforts to later stage validation & compliance challenges.
  5. Work closely with EPM teammates to drive vendors towards aggressive schedules and ambitious objectives; hold our manufacturing partners accountable & communicate status updates clearly to EPM counterparts & the broader team.

Skills

Required

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering
  • Strong technical knowledge of electromechanical design, validation and manufacturing test and test fixture development.
  • 5+ years of experience developing and manufacturing new electronics products.
  • Must have completed at least two full hardware development cycles through product launch with direct (in person) exposure to FATP
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Fluency in both Mandarin and English
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 30%

Nice to have

  • Direct exposure to manufacturing of audio & video related products is a plus.
