Technical Program Manager, API Platform

Anthropic Anthropic · AI Frontier · San Francisco, CA · Technical Program Management

Technical Program Manager to drive scaling and core efficiency programs for Anthropic's API platform, focusing on the intersection of the API and its underlying infrastructure (compute, databases, networking, inference). The role involves connecting isolated workstreams, managing cross-org dependencies, and creating clarity on decision-making to ensure the API stack scales efficiently and predictably.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drive scaling and core efficiency programs for the API stack from architectural direction through sequenced, deliverable execution
  2. Run multiple large programs simultaneously across infrastructure, networking, and the API layer
  3. Act as the connective tissue between API, infrastructure, database, networking, and inference teams, owning cross-org dependencies end to end
  4. Establish decision-making clarity: who owns what, where trade-offs get made, and how isolated streams roll up into one program view
  5. Surface risks, progress, and trade-offs to engineering leadership with the right altitude and cadence
