Technical Program Manager for Google Compute Engine Node team, focusing on bare-metal and VM instances leveraging advancements in CPU, Storage, Network, and GPU/TPU virtualization. The role drives Google-wide goals in Security, Reliability, Performance, Observability, Manageability, Compliance, and scaling to support AI/ML, enterprise, and cloud-native landscapes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Provide the required project management, cross-functional coordination, inter-team and intra-team communications, and leadership engagement to deliver outstanding program outcomes.
  2. Work closely with software engineers, product managers, and other engineering teams to guide high-quality products and features through the product life-cycle (e.g., scope, develop, build, test, and release on time).
  3. Manage project schedules, identify possible issues, and clearly communicate them to project stakeholders and leadership.
  4. Take responsibility for release schedules and milestones, keeping up a high velocity in a changing environment.
  5. Lead several technical programs for the Google Cloud Platform (GCP), setting priorities for products and engineering, leading cross-functional teams to take products to market, ensuring success metrics are informing future efforts, and quickly fine-tuning the program as needed.

Skills

Required

  • technical field degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in program management

  • 5 years of experience in managing projects spanning cross-functional stakeholders
  • Experience establishing systems that continuously improve business processes, products, or services through the measurement of performance, progress, and success metrics
