Technical Program Manager, Connector

Apple Apple · Big Tech · Shanghai, China · Operations and Supply Chain

Technical Program Manager role focused on collaborating with multi-functional teams to automate manual processes and improve manufacturing effectiveness for Apple products. The role involves leading engineering builds, managing technical risks, and driving design for manufacturing, process development, and ramp execution. While the role requires understanding of ML/AI concepts and mentions AI-empowered optimization, its core function is in program management and manufacturing engineering, not direct AI/ML model development or deployment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Engagement in new product engineering builds, assist in reviewing Work as a team leader for Process, Test, Automation and Quality Engineers in the development of critical modules, sub-assemblies, and components that enable amazing new features for Apple products.
  2. Serve as Senior Operations technical leader during all engineering builds as well as ramp, providing a single technical voice to internal project teams as well as external suppliers.
  3. Ensure all technical risks associated with a product are identified and mitigated to enable the qualification, scale-up, and implementation of modules into high volume mass production.
  4. Through all phases of development and product introduction, you will partner closely with Engineering, Operations, and Procurement teams to enable success of new product introductions.
  5. Day to day focused activities include design for manufacturing reviews, drive process recipe developments, machine and line level buy-offs and ramp execution.
