Technical Program Manager, Hardware Sensing

Oura Oura · Consumer · San Francisco, CA +1 · Hardware

This role is for a Staff Technical Program Manager focused on driving the hardware and firmware implementation of health-focused sensing technologies. The role involves coordinating system integration and testing, partnering with product management, planning and executing programs, supporting NPI builds, managing vendors, and ensuring quality for sensing performance. It requires strong technical depth in EE, ME, and firmware, and experience with the full product lifecycle of integrated hardware/software systems.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drive hardware and firmware planning and execution, and cross-functional integration for complex health sensing features across hardware, firmware, software, science, and design — from concept to launch, in partnership with Product, Program Management and Engineering teams.
  2. In close collaboration with software, science, and other TPMs, define and drive system-level integration and test plans that validate end-to-end sensing behavior; ensure HW/FW readiness, clear interfaces, and well-owned integration milestones across teams.
  3. Collaborate closely with product managers, who own product vision, feature roadmaps, and customer outcomes, to translate requirements into HW/FW scope and integration plans, surface options and tradeoffs, and align on decisions and priorities.
  4. Build and maintain schedules, dependencies, and risk mitigation plans for HW/FW and integration touchpoints; proactively clear roadblocks and drive accountability across engineering teams.
  5. Contribute to NPI build planning and execution to ensure sensing build goals, coverage, and readiness criteria are clearly defined and met across phases.
