Technical Program Manager II, Agentic AI, gTech at Google. This role focuses on managing complex, cross-functional programs critical to gUP's top priorities, spanning areas like Generative AI-powered Ask Google Help, enhancing agentic UserVoice feedback systems, or building critical tools and platforms for Google's Partners. Responsibilities include establishing project plans, tracking progress, managing risks and dependencies, and facilitating communication across global teams. The role involves partnering with Engineering teams to troubleshoot technical blockers within Generative AI workflows, including prompt engineering and data pipeline issues, and ensuring safety, legal, privacy, and regulatory checkpoints are met.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drive the day-to-day execution of programs and priorities. This includes managing the project lifecycle from initial technical scoping and requirements gathering through to launch and post-launch support, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule.
  2. Partner with Engineering teams to identify, troubleshoot, and help resolve technical blockers within Generative AI workflows. This may involve aspects of prompt engineering, data pipeline issues, and other factors impacting model quality and performance.
  3. Coordinate closely with Engineering, Product Management, and UX partners to ensure alignment on project goals, milestones, and timelines.
  4. Identify, track, and help mitigate project-level risks and dependencies. Ensure all necessary safety, legal, privacy, and regulatory checkpoints are addressed, properly documented, and met to facilitate a smooth and compliant launch.
  5. Utilize data-driven frameworks, project management tools, and OKRs to meticulously track program health and progress.
