Technical Program Manager, Robotics, Deepmind

Google Google · Big Tech · Mountain View, CA +1

Technical Program Manager for Robotics at Google DeepMind, focusing on improving hardware ecosystem utilization, data collection efficiency, and managing technical aspects of hardware demos and logistics. The role involves process creation, data quality tracking, and collaboration with the ML team, but the core responsibilities are in program management and hardware operations, not direct AI/ML model development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Drive significant improvements in diverse hardware ecosystem utilization and data collection efficiency through comprehensive analyses and regular reporting.
  2. Achieve high-performance efficiency peaks through optimized vendor processes and accountability reviews within the diverse hardware ecosystem. This includes managing technical ambiguities across varying levels of hardware phases.
  3. Create processes and dashboards to measure and track standardization of data collection and measurement of the data quality. Sync weekly with all global sites and align on the data they are collecting. Strive to always improve and iterate on our data collection processes and work closely with our Machine learning team to make sure the project is aligned.
  4. Serve as the primary technical lead for onsite hardware demos, logistics planning, troubleshooting, and live execution. Collaborate with the logistics manager to execute a logistics plan for each event and verify technical readiness for robotics demonstrations at global conferences and industry events.
  5. Ensure all demo-specific hardware is maintained to the highest standards, serving as a first-responder for critical debugging windows during live events. Oversee the expansion of diverse hardware ecosystem capabilities and add additional platforms efficiently.
