Meta is seeking a Technical Program Manager (TPM) for its Signal Growth team in Ads. This role focuses on transforming digital advertising by building technical programs that drive business growth through regulatory, platform, and policy shifts. The TPM will expand the value of first-party and third-party data signals, enrich metadata, and pioneer privacy-preserving ML. Responsibilities include defining roadmaps, monitoring progress, defining functional requirements, and driving large-scale, cross-functional programs from strategy to shipped-at-scale. The role requires a strong technical background, familiarity with system architecture and data pipelines, and experience collaborating across functions. The TPM will lead technical discussions, make architecture and prioritization calls, align teams, and turn frontier ML into business impact. Experience with AI tools, ML/AI platforms, and ethical AI practices is essential.

What you'd actually do

  1. Responsible for building, managing, and setting direction for teams as a whole as well as for individual team members' success
  2. Partners include Product Management and Engineering to define needs to support strategic planning and execution as well as metrics, program requirements and scope
  3. Articulate to stakeholders your team's technology vision, requirements, goals and milestones and develop collaboration across teams and functions
  4. Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery
  5. Own the execution of or applying machine learning (ML)/artificial intelligence technologies

Skills

Required

  • B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management experience
  • Hands-on technical depth with experience diving into system architecture, code, data pipelines, or infrastructure to drive informed decision-making and problem-solving
  • Proficiency with AI tools and an AI-native approach to work, including using AI to accelerate analysis, automate workflows, and enhance productivity
  • Experience delivering tech programs or products from inception to delivery
  • Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope
  • Experience communicating and translating non-technical to technical (and vice versa) requirements and discussions to internal and external teams (including public-facing communication)
  • Experience describing features and/or system details and communicating technical information effectively
  • Experience tracking industry and market trends to assess new and external technologies/products to solve problems and demonstrated thought leadership
  • Communication experience and experience working with technical management teams to develop systems, solutions, and products
  • Organizational, coordination and multi-tasking experience
  • Experience using data-driven analysis to identify root causes, evaluate trade-offs, and inform technical or program decisions
  • Experience establishing work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones
  • Experience working with product teams to build and deliver end-to-end customer focused products with technical knowledge of the underlying platforms and technologies
  • Experience developing or working directly on various aspects of large-scale ML/AI platforms
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Experience in Ads, advertising technology, or similar monetization domains
