Technical Project Manager

This role is for a Technical Project Manager on GEICO's Operations Performance and Business Intelligence team. The candidate will work with engineering, product, and design stakeholders to build key components of their business intelligence and reporting suite, focusing on process alignment and team empowerment to drive results. The role requires experience in project management, Scrum, and a Bachelor's degree.

What you'd actually do

  1. Serve a number of sub-teams responsible for building key components of our business intelligence and reporting suite
  2. Work closely with engineering, product, design and business stakeholders to clarify goals
  3. Use effective process to align teams, seek clarity and empower teams to drive for results

Skills

Required

  • 4 years of experience working as a Scrum Master, Project Manager, or analyst on technical projects (Software Development, DevOps, etc.)
  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing improvements to processes and projects
  • Strong critical thinking, decision making, and analytical skills
  • Outstanding time management skills and attention to detail
  • Experience facilitating project ceremonies and managing multiple projects
  • Ability to manage a variety of projects with strict deadlines
  • Be able to listen to internal customers and create project plan accordingly
  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, related field (business, finance, mathematics, computer science), or equivalent professional experience is required

Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, PowerBI, Figma
  • Experience with data analysis/BI/presentation tools such as PowerBI, PowerApps, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous or challenging situations
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal relationship development skills
