Technical Project Manager III -digital and Design

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Technical Project Manager III to lead technology projects and programs within the Commercial and Investment Bank - Digital and Design team, focusing on Payments Transformation. The role involves developing project plans, managing risks, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with business goals. Requires 5+ years of experience in technical program management, proficiency in Agile methodologies, and familiarity with current technologies. Experience with AI agents is a plus.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, incorporating technical requirements, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure timely and successful delivery of technology projects
  2. Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential roadblocks and implementing risk management strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software development, quality assurance, end to end testing and business stakeholders, to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals
  4. Utilize technical fluency to evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and vendor products for project implementation
  5. Maintain and monitor list of key project-level dependencies including across application groups and proactively tracking the same

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated proficiency in applying analytical reasoning and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, or operational objectives into manageable tasks and activities
  • Experience with software development best practices and experience establishing methods, tools, and process improvements for cross-team initiatives
  • Experience managing software projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules
  • Proficient in stakeholder management, with a track record of establishing productive working relationships and driving mutually beneficial outcomes
  • Certifications in Agile methodologies, such as SAFe SSM, PSM I, and PSM II
  • Strong proficiency in JIRA & Confluence for Agile / Scrum project tracking, workflow configuration, dashboards, and JQL based reporting
  • Strong technical fluency, with familiarity in current and relevant platforms, software tools, and technologies
  • Proficient in stakeholder management, with a track record of establishing productive working relationships and driving mutually beneficial outcome

Nice to have

  • Experience with Tableau & Power BI is a plus
  • Experience in Payments technology is a plus
  • Experience in designing, implementing, or supporting AI agents, including conversational bots, or intelligent automation solutions
